I doubt this will work. Texas is a huge state with hundreds of counties. A marriage license can be issued to anyone by any County Clerk; doesn't have to be the Clerk of the County in which one resides. I can almost bet there are Clerks in Texas who don't know about the FLDS mess in detail, and who would issue licenses if properly applied for.<BR/><BR/>Why the injunction? To prevent a jury from having to decide whether to find a man guilty after he has married the alleged "victim," and/or to avoid the problems a jury might have with sending that guy to prison for a long time, if they do find him guilty.<BR/><BR/>This is not about protecting the "victims."
