Burning Down the House?

Face it, you know you suspect it.

The Dallas Morning News - (State Fire Marshal Paul) "Maldonado said the suspect was between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall, and wore blue jeans or cargo pants and work gloves. He appeared to be in good physical shape, Mr. Maldonado said, because he easily scaled a fence and threw a glass bottle stuffed with a fuel-soaked rag onto the porch. The bottle exploded into a fireball.

The suspect’s execution of the arson was strong, Mr. Maldonado said, indicating he had practice setting other fires or had relied on books and the Internet.

Mr. Maldonado said people who had contact with the suspect that night may have smelled gasoline or seen minor burns on his skin. And he said feelings of anger – toward the governor, politics, or the mansion renovations -- may have motivated the suspect’s crime."

This could very easily be someone whose rage was triggered by what happened at YFZ. I'm not saying it is but we can't discount that possibility. Paul Maldonado is right to ask for whatever message the arsonist wishes to deliver since almost certainly, there was a message of some sort being delivered, whether it involves YFZ or not. Hopefully not.

But face it, you suspect that it does.
