Nada. Nuttin', zero, zilch.......bubkis.
No really, there is nothing whatsoever on the radar. I have had contact with people behind the scenes in Allen's case. I am reluctant to stir the pot when nothing is essentially good news for Allen. But there is nothing.
No court date.
This continues to hold the very real question up to the public, that if Allen is the only man Warren could have assisted in "raping" Elissa Wall, albeit by proxy, and if Allen is never shown to have raped Elissa, how can Warren be guilty of anything?

Careful now. The prosecution and Wall might be trying to run out the clock on the statute of limitations (7 years?) so that they can avoid facing the issue in court, and potentially losing, which would pull the rug out from under their case against Warren. Better to just let a sleeping dog lie. It's Warren they were after, not Allen.
Since they charged him within the statute of limitations, I'm not sure it applies any longer.
You may be right about that. It would be interesting if Wall used the SOL reasoning to forgo pursuing charges against Allen, i.e. it's been too long, memories fade, etc.
It's weird how Allen is charged with only one count, but Warren was charged with two? I wouldn't be surprised if Wall's team drops charges altogether against Allen, saying he's just the brainwashed victim of Warren, and Warren was the one at fault.
It's all such a transparent ploy to get money and destroy the FLDS; I find that quite frustrating, that no one else sees that, especially not the media.
I see the Wall conviction as an "anchor" charge. It serves to keep Warren in one place while they try to convict him of something else.
So the marriage was not illegal? All they have on him was couseling a reluctant wife to consumate the marriage? When is sex in the context of a marriage = rape, when Jeffs suggests it??
Arthur,
There was no legal marriage of Allen Steed and Elissa Wall, however, under Utah law he was within the age range where Utah does not consider it child molestation.
What Warren was convicted of was encouraging Allen to have sex with Elissa against her will, not as a statutory rape, but simply when she did not want to have sex, and thus creating a rape.
The problem has been all along is that this event has to have actually occurred for Warren to be conceivably guilty of anything. They've convicted Warren of raping Elissa Wall by proxy. If Allen Steed is never convicted, then there was no rape for Warren to have encouraged. It will be rather odd to see him as guilty of anything under that circumstance.
