Becky ran distance races in Colorado Springs, just like Rozita. She knew a lot about Rozita when they came to arrest Ms. Swinton, and claimed to have been her roommate only for one day.

It's the BOOK DEALS STUPID.

Two books are written referencing Rozita Swinton before the Raid

. I'm not even sure if there was a YFZ when Vanity Publishing Whore Mary Catharine Nelson first put pen to paper on her forgettable tomes that she rushed right out and shamelessly hawked the moment Rozita's name hit the news. She's now all quiet about it, I suspect hoping to benefit from selling Rozita's story, once it's all over. Who do you think (speculation) is paying Rozita's considerable legal bills and mental health treatment bills?

Flora has made a cottage industry out of being an Anti FLDS activist. I guess you can't pole dance your way to stardom. God help her father if her allegations of about incestuous rape turn out to be true. It would really explain a lot, but women never lie about rape. Do they? Flora's book is out this week. I won't link to it. I will tell you that her DVD is "no longer availabe." Chasing the FLDS is Flora's fan dance since she can't sell peaks anymore.

Vancouver Sun Reporter Daphne Bramham has her book go to paperback this week. Accompanying Wag the Dog media event? Two Bountiful FLDS men are arrested for Polygamy. No doubt salacious charges were pursued by Canadian Law Enforcement. There weren't any. So they charged them with Polygamy to show they were "doing something."

Elissa Wall is persuaded by Flora that she is a victim, she has a book. It was published, oh my, to coincide with the YFZ raid. Her relatives advise David Doran. Flora Jessop is said to advise David Doran.

Follow the money. Elissa is trying to feed off the UEP trust, which may have nothing left in it after Bruce Wissan is done. Everyone is lining up for a book deal or a miniseries or a movie or all three. Government is being manipulated by the shameless publicity of the press. You don't get re-elected by seeming to do nothing about law breakers, so they go arrest, they go raid, they put people in jail, they interrogate, they pander. But they hate it. They'd rather polygamy be legal so they could pursue something else and not get hit up with questions about polygynists "abuse" during their elections, but they can't get elected, saying that.

I will warn the anti FLDS foes again, if you don't get results, then eventually Law Enforcement will turn on you. They don't enjoy being made fools of, they don't wish to be the football. The smiling young lady from Niger, takes off on the Tiger, but when she came back from the ride, the lady was inside, and a smile, was on the face of the Tiger.

Ask yourselves, those of you who hate the FLDS, will you survive having all your worldly goods turned out on the lawn and being sifted through? Will there be a seed of a marijuana plant, maybe a little "crank" in your houses? Will there be evidence of Tax Evasion? Are you lesbians or bisexuals? Will there be evidence of "molestation?" Violence? Abuse? There are oh so many laws that will be selectively applied by an angry Attorney General or Governor who doesn't like being used.

Several years ago I got an angry obscene call in the middle of the night from an angry man who took issue with me. He eventually persuaded the police to come visit me, who I voluntarily allowed into my home. Spooky similarity there, hmmmmmmm? These police were apologetic and embarrassed and had consented to see me just to shut up the hysterical complainer, from out of state.

Angry myself, I pursued the issue for a while and was eventually told by a Gallatin county detective that essentially, he could find a law (he actually named one) that he could use against me, if I didn't stop complaining. I was right. I received the obscene phone call but all that Donut munching moron was interested in was making the issue go away. He wasn't interested in interstate prosecution of a misdemeanor beef. Also, eerily similar to the present issue.

Eventually, when things continue to not pan out, when "wolf" has been cried enough, the Donut Muncher will be tired, of you. Perhaps he's not such a moron after all, and he will no longer be your plaything, and then, watch out.

In the meantime, if you want to know what's really going on at YFZ, and with the FLDS, follow the money, or at least, who's trying to or succeeding in making money off the event.

Also, remember something. My website is bigger than Flora's, has been for a while now. Does anybody really care what the FLDS are doing unless the "stuff" hits the fan? Why is she called about anything when her DVD's don't sell and are discontinued and her website gets no hits is she called about anything? Why is she interviewed? She's a STRIPPER for goodness sake. Call Donald Richter. Heck, call me. More people go looking for our sites than for hers when they want to know what's happening. Call Bill Medvecky. But Flora? No one cares but she keeps getting face time as the Paris Hilton of the polygamy controversy. If she stopped being on TV, no one would pay attention. They don't really pay attention now.

If you legalize polygamy, heck, I'll go away. With nothing. Fine by me.

Newsweek on Rozita Swinton

Rozita is profiled in Newsweek, and for the first time the press (apart from your Modern Pharisee) wakes up to the cold calculating nature of the instigator of the YFZ raid.

"Yet there's a highly rational and calculating aspect to Swinton's alleged deeds. In the past few years, she has used at least nine cell-phone numbers—many of them prepaid, avoiding the need to register them—to orchestrate her ruses, according to police. And rather than slipping uncontrollably into one character or another, she has seemed to switch between them at will."

I pointed this out early on, saying that she showed calculating behavior by avoiding the camera in the police questioning she went through. I also pointed out the similarities between her mug shot and other calculating child abusers.

"Psychiatrists interviewed by NEWSWEEK say that although they wouldn't rule out multiple-personality disorder—a controversial diagnosis technically known as dissociative identity disorder (DID)—Swinton's behavior doesn't match the usual profile (none of them has personally examined her). 'People with DID typically have intense stories of their own abuse' and don't 'run around reporting on other people's abuse,' says David Spiegel, associate chair of psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine. Richard Kluft, a clinical professor of psychiatry at Temple University School of Medicine, says it's possible that Swinton suffers from other conditions, like factitious disorder, in which people have a need to be seen as ill and deliberately create symptoms to prove it."

I still strongly suspect the KEY phrases that Rozita keeps using need to be paid attention to. "You're saying I'm lying" she tends to say, or seems amazed that people think she didn't tell the truth, and then protests that it IS the truth, that it's "HER STORY."

Lies always have an anchor in the truth in my experience. Rozita is intent on proclaiming that the stories she tells are TRUE. Someone has fed her these stories or she has read them in case files. She now feels the need to tell them. I think it's important to know where these stories came from. I think Rozita BELIEVES they are true. Another alternative is that she is changing details of the story to mask their origin.

The Newsweek article also identifies Mary Catharine Nelson as her foster parent, but does not touch on the "Reverend" Nelson's connections with the publishing company that she published her books through. The article also uses stock photographs that were supplied by Swinton herself.

There is STILL more to the story, but at least someone looked at her in an unsympathetic way for the first time, in the mainstream media.

The article points out that Rozita received therapy in Missouri, I assume recently. This may explain why I got a bunch of recent hits from Rural Missouri and at about the same time, ceased to get hits from Colorodo Springs, on this blog. It could be coincidence but Missouri is home to Eden Theological Seminary, and was or still is home to Mary Catharine Nelson's big bud and fellow homosexual rights activist, Dr. Peggy Ann Way.

Mary Catharine Nelson Update

The foster mother of Rozita Swinton, who was so concerned about the effect publicity would have on "the Children" has her website back up. Supposedly connecting her with her REAL name would be a danger to "the Children."

She took down her website and from what I can tell by the new edition, the major difference is the absence of Dr. Peggy Ann Way's name at the site. Of course I may stroll around it and find it somewhere else on the page.

Originally the ODD site "recycleddreams.org" had Dr. Peggy Ann Way listed as the site owner. She wasn't of course, and then the site was upgraded to the slightly more truthful disclosure that it was owned by "Kate Rosemary." I haven't checked to see if Mary has fessed up to owning it herself. Kate Rosemary and Mary Catharine Nelson, are one in the same.

Just to refresh your memories. Mary Catharine Nelson/Kate Rosemary is the author of two books that mention Rozita by her first name. Mary took great care to hawk those books when Rozita was first discovered. Then she pulled a Garbo. Then it was discovered that not only did she author those books, but that she owns/manages Published by Westview, the Publishing company. She is also the "source close to" in the article about Rozita that appeared in "the Westview." More →

Official Rumor About Rozita (not MINE)

This cryptic little remark appeared over at Vox. Hat tip "Toes." The poster goes by "Carolus."

"The FDLS charade was to expand state power to seize children at whim. If the state can seize children on the basis of a fraudulent anonymous phone call, it can seize them for any reason whatsoever. The FDLS was listed by the SPLC as a 'hate group' and the anonymous tipster (who still hasn't been charged with a crime, BTW) was an Obama delegate and SPLC operative."

Whoa. Rozita Swinton is a SPLC operative? I'm going to need some CONFIRMATION of that but that would be interesting. Someone who can find out, should find out.

UPDATE: All I can find so far is the thin connections of mutual interest. Mary Catharine Nelson is in the William Sloan Coffin/Peggy Ann Way/Southern Poverty Law Center continuum but it is hard to say there is a connection there. Certainly the people they "Hang" with were SPLC types who have labeled the FLDS a "Hate Group." I even understand their reasoning.

This is certainly a stronger connection than that of Barbara Walthers attending the church of the same Denomination as Mary Catharine Nelson pastors for in Nashville, but it's still very thin.

All we really know is that liberals both theological and political don't tend to like groups like the FLDS and Mary Catharine Nelson certainly had occasion to be acquainted with and favorably disposed towards SPLC views. That doesn't mean she wound up Rozita and sent her on a mission.

So far all I've been able to document is the use of teaching materials in certain venues that originate from the SPLC and also from Dr. Peggy Ann Way, who is apparently a friend and mentor of Rev. Mary Catharine Nelson, Rozita's foster mother.

These are not the Droids (suspects) you want, move along...

I have numerous contacts in the press. You can be sure that if I have MENTIONED a reporters name, they're not one of my contacts, at least not so far. If I end up mentioning one someday, it won't be as a contact. My associations are confidential. They are also a one way street. I give information, I don't get any other than heads up for published material.

Except for one thing. A consistent theme. That being that Rozita is not important. No reason is given, no justification is given. Nothing convincing is offered to me to get me to even think the well has been checked for depth. "These aren't the conspirators you want...."

This I cannot accept. I have heard nothing to suggest that the cabal of Swinton, Nelson and Winters (the last two being publishers) has been examined. I have heard that we need to "protect the children" meaning Mary Catharine Nelson's foster children, but I've been told more than once by people in a position to know, that she doesn't have any anymore.

The truth? Just as I once suspected there was a possibilty that Rozita was the author of the books that were written including her, I didn't think it was likely. I offered it because it was possible, not the most probable of answers, but possible based on the fact that Mary Catharine Nelson, the foster mother, wouldn't answer the question "Are you Rozita?" and only the PRESIDENT of the publishing company, Paula Underwood Winters would claim to have seen her and I have good reason not to believe everything that comes from Paula.

So am I onto a dry well? Probably. Definitely? No. All I can do is ask. I'm a blogger. That makes me part amateur journalist, part wannabe pundit. There are many more reasons to ask that haven't been drilled down to bedrock as it were, than there ever were reasons to invade YFZ. I'd go about 40/60 to 30/70, the lower of the two odds being those of finding something conspiratorial on Rozita and her ultra radical lib lesbo supporting tragic chorus.

Several things about that last shot. I am against homosexuality. I have no problem WITH homosexuals. I'm not one. I'm a fundamentalist Christian in nearly all respects except for my stand on polygyny and I'd say that actually makes me more of a fundy that most fundies. What they do is decidedly NOT my business unless it's in my church, house, yard or with one of my kids. I'm not called to get a speck or log out of their eyes. Rozita's loyalties which are seemingly reciprocated are to people that undermine her supposedly devout LDS faith (not FLDS, LDS).

This is what concerns me. Clearly without enough disclosure to justify their lack of interest, the press has ignored Rozita beyond the human interest/circus freak sort of curiosity. I have no reason to believe that her story has been dug down far enough to even KNOW that. No one tries to find her. No one tries to interview her. Diligent effort to dig into her past is absent. Anything that might aid the innocent in the FLDS Fiasco would be best discovered NOW, as opposed to later and the press take notes at pretrial appearances and don't ask WHY all the delays for a mere misdemeanor charge.

I get the impression David W. Foley is pricey legal help for Colorado Springs. He's a connected ex prosecutor. He seems that he does have enough money to promote his practice. I could be wrong there but that's my impression. He doesn't return phone calls, to anyone investigating Rozita. Mary Catharine routinely refers everyone to him. He won't even do the courtesy of calling back to confirm an association. I would not for instance, bug Mary Catharine if he said he represented her, but he hasn't gone that far. I do know she claims not to be able to talk, due to an agreement with David Foley. Foley, who isn't ready for the case, has gone far enough as to find and secure non disclosure agreements with those in a position to know. Someone paid Rozita's bail. Someone probably paid David Foley to help her. It would be interesting to know who, which might answer a lot of the why.

An example of a question that I haven't even seen asked: Was Foley her attorney in her previous brushes with the law? That might throw some water on the fire of suspicion. I'd say it's less likely that his association is revealing if he's been her attorney before. I don't see any writing on this angle.

Sorry to keep repeating myself but the only reason these sorts of question aren't important are if Rozita is not part of something important. The only way to know that is to ask and answer those questions. It is still better to have those questions answered NOW, as opposed to later.

I want no vengeance. It is not my ox that is gored anyway. Vengeance is MINE sayeth the LORD and the government bears the sword indeed as a minister of God for our own good. What they do with Rozita after this is over may not satisfy me in terms of justice, but no one is asking me. If indeed Rozita is an accidental abuser, a true victim of her supposed illness, I too would want her to get help and be as free as she can of her torment. Sympathy and forgiveness only come with confession though. Rozita has not confessed. Therein perhaps, lies a tale. More →

Fierce, Feminist and "In Your Face" or Helpless, Feminine and "Picked On?"

There is an infamous recording oft played on the Radio Talk Show giant Rush Limbaugh's program where some unknown feminist shouts that she's "in your face." I've "outed" two people now in my public lifetime, both of whom turned out to be women. I'm such a misogynist. I hate 'em. Right?

In truth I've never gone looking for women, I've gone looking for do-gooder busybodies that have wide Internet footprints that seek the limelight. In neither case could I be sure that the parties involved were actually women, they just said they were. Well, in both cases, they were.

It's amazing how these "in your face" women, one of whom was known to have laughed rather publicly that she could not be found, turned helpless damsel in distress when found. I, the big testosterone charged bad man was pursuing a helpless picked on girl. Never mind the fact that one portrayed herself as a sword wielding warrior, until she was found.

In both cases I experienced an interesting sequence of events. The subject of my outing at first turned up on Google searches, then didn't, then did, then didn't. Likewise with this latest incident of outing, I am having trouble being the result of a Google search on the topic. I get the impression there is some "complaint" feature I'm not entirely aware of yet that people employ with they don't like what your doing.

In both cases both women moved quickly to cover their tracks on the Internet so as not to be found. Both shut down their web sites. If you go to "Marriedbymary.com" as of my last check, it says it's now "under construction." I just want to know, "what's up with that?"

Also in both cases I extended chances to discuss the matter to subjects of my search who both refused and tried the above tactics instead. Hiding, crying foul, not talking. Ladies, what got you into trouble in the first place was your big mouths. Try shutting up instead of strutting. Better yet, stay on the public stage when your challenged. You took to the ring on your own in the first place.

One of my newer "Favorite Sayings" is "you know you're over the target, if your getting flak." Well, I'm getting flak, so I must be over the target. Mary Catharine Nelson aka Kate Rosemary aka Merry Cate Noel, you're hiding something. You stuck your fierce feminist face into this FLDS debacle on your own. YOU sought the public eye on the subject, on your own. Well, now you're in it up to your neck. You probably won't get any relief until you clue us in one what gives. This is the BIGGEST child custody case in American, and probably therefore WORLD history. You said "hey, look at me." You have more information apparently than anyone else about the criminal who endangered hundreds of lives and abused 400 plus children by proxy through the state of Texas. Why did Rozita want to protect children from abuse so badly?

I think she was imitating her Foster Mother, Mary Catharine Nelson who was a case manager for the state of Tennessee's Department of Children's Service. Her former charge Rozita Swinton sent Texas Child Protective Services into YFZ. When newspapers can mention the sad coincidence that Rozita had a court date the same day that her brother Courtney appeared in Nashville on a drug charge, isn't it more relevant to know that her foster mother was obsessed with child safety and worked in the equivalent department of Tennessee state government that attacked the FLDS in Texas?

Do you want to know WHY Rozita Attacked the YFZ? Find Mary Catharine Nelson, dig there. It's the first LOGICAL spot to do so. Rozita's father is apparently estranged from her. Her mother apparently does not want to talk, but there was a good relationship apparently between her foster mother and Rozita.

Did Mary have a child services/crisis intervention directory of some sort that Rozita took with her? She's called shelters all over the country. Has she been back to Kingston Springs TN since she left after spending time there?

Was there some sort of conspiracy to use Rozita against the YFZ? All conspiracy stories are a bit weak, but some conspiracies have been known to occur. Did for instance Mary Catharine Nelson KNOW Judge Barbara Walthers? Probably not, but they're both United Methodists. Dr. Peggy Ann Way is a close friend of another feminist type who now teaches in Texas. Was there any commerce between Texas CPS and Mary Catharine Nelson? There's only one way to know and that is to ask and look. I suspect strongly that what will be found is who Rozita is connected to, not an active conspiracy involving Mary, but it needs to be looked at. Rozita tells a wild story of abduction that goes through Texas.

A couple of Lead in Stories to Rozita's Court Appearance today.

The Denver Post has an article prepping us for Rozita's misdemeanor court appearance today in Colorado Springs. Then there is the standard publicity flier extract from Westview Publishing on Rozita, regurgitated without examination (unfortunately) from one of our favorite sources, the Deseret News. We are forced to hear again from a Southern White Woman what a great fried chicken cook Ms. Swinton is;

Oh why don't you just tell us she loves watermelon for dessert and be done with it. These books are not about Rozita, but they feature Rozita and her publisher foster mother is trying to make sure she's around to make all the money that can be make after this is all over.

Dang, I know I'd be interested to know that an "unpredictable" woman who was abused in childhood and had multiple personality disorder was about to be my nanny. Doesn't Kate/Mary Catharine Nelson have even the SLIGHTEST sense of warning the rest of the world what they're about to get into? Folks, I am NOT insensitive to the plight of the mentally ill having spent several years involved in advocacy for persons with mental illness but it's relevant that a person with an abusive past and "multiple personality disorder" is going off to be a "nanny."

"Rosemary's book publisher declined to make her available for interviews without approval from Swinton's criminal defense attorney. Attempts to reach Swinton herself for comment have been unsuccessful."

The Ever Stranger Rozita Swinton Story

This morning I did a "background" interview with someone who was in a position to know details about the Rozita Swinton story. I have done several background interviews. This one was what I would think is deep background. The person I interviewed will not be named. They were considerate enough to talk to me. In truth I think they spent most of the time they did spend with me in an effort to dissuade me from publishing anything on Mary Catharine Nelson, who is now known to be the Vice President Editor & Owner of Westview Publishing.

I in turn assured her that if I discovered Kate's real name (it turned out I already had) I would not disclose it if I could be convinced that it wasn't relevant. Well, it was relevant. Any time you discover that the Foster Mother of the instigator of the whole FLDS story is also part owner and/or manager of the publishing company that has been feeding fluff and lies to the press ABOUT that instigator, it's a story in and of itself.

We already have sisters on one side of the raid story, one advising the CPS to go in while the other profits from a book and probable movie deal, and now we have author-publishers on the other side of the country who are trying to make a tragic-heroic TV movie story out of Rozita. All the sympathetic pictures of Rozita doing wonderful things on a "mission" trip to El Salvador that was strongly implied to be for the "Mormon" church were fed to us by two women that stand to make money, maybe a lot of money off the story. The story was clearly spun and frankly embellished with untrue or at least questionable facts and given to outlets like KRDO who had every reason to believe it WAS the truth. I know a couple of reporters now that are a little narrow eyed over the whole business as they certainly feel they have been conned.

I'm not joking when I say that Rod Parker ought to subpoena everything that Westview Publishing has on it's computers and phone records. He also ought to do the same with Mary's home records and with Paula's (president of Westview Publishing). They haven't been telling us the truth and some of the information they possess might easily have shortened this whole mess.

Certainly all they have may be looked at and turn out to be as big a dry hole as YFZ did for child abuse but Rod has every reason to want to look at those records for his clients and make that judgment along with them. They certainly have more cause to look than CPS ever did when they charged in with APC's and ringed the FLDS with snipers. More →

Why Rozita's Foster Mother is important.

What I would do when I found "Kate Rosemary" depended on who it was that I found at the other end of my search for the foster mother of Rozita Swinton. What I found was a publicity seeking entrepreneur. That's no crime. It is however a reason not to show great deference to her privacy. She doesn't want it. She simply wants to control when she is on the stage and what the subject matter is. The rest are excuses. So, she's outed. As of this writing her web page is down, but it's still available in "cache" on Google. I've saved most of it to my computer. I'll bet it survives on the "way back" machine as well for some time.

Now to why she is important. Rozita is a a myriad of conflicting and largely untruthful representations. She's a "Devout Mormon" but she was raised in part in her early life by a female Methodist liberal pastor whose associates are gay/lesbian rights advocates. The LDS do not accept homosexuality nor do they place women in their leadership.

The people of Rozita's foster care parentage are fiercely protective, of her. Yet when we dig trying to find record of her abuse, there is none, but she is treated as if she is a fragile soul that is about to break. I on the other hand am fiercely protective of the over 400 children she put in front of the barrels of several guns. I think that trumps Rozita's "right to privacy." Making the connections that debunk her claims trump Mary Catharine Nelson's rights as well. I offered her a chance to explain herself privately, she did not take it. She plead an agreement with Rozita's attorney as justification. This is quite different than protecting the "children" she no longer has in her care. The reason she successfully offered to other reporters for not revealing her identity.

Rozita had someone else make her $20,000.00 bail. Rozita has phones from all over the country that she made phony calls with, diverting law enforcement resources on several other occasions. She very well could already have cost someone their life since police were one place, frantically looking for her supposedly suicidal abused self, when they could have been elsewhere.

We need to know her most intimate personal connections BEFORE she goes into her hearing tomorrow, and now we do know one of the most important ones. We need to know if they have been aiding her. We need not to let Colorado and Texas sweep her under the rug and pretend it doesn't matter. The only way to do that is to ASK QUESTIONS. The only way to ask questions with relevance is to ask them of someone relevant. Now we have a place to start.

Right after I posted information about Mary Catharine Nelson on my website, I also sent her an email telling her if she could give me a good reason, I'd take it down. Instead, it appears she took her own web site down. I warned her on several occasions she could and probably would be found before I posted this information. She stood pat. It turns out I had visited her site weeks ago in search of "Kate Rosemary." It was just a matter of time. If she indeed took her site down just now, then she could have done that when I first made contact. She did not.

Rozita's past CANNOT be taken at face value, her statements that she asks us to believe cannot either. Most of her past is gross contradiction. Everything must investigated before believed, every stone turned over. If she say she went on a mission we don't print that as fact until we know who with, when, that sort of thing. If she says she is Mormon, we call. If she says she is gay, we check to see if she is straight. If she says she bought a phone, we check to see if she got it from someone else. Maybe someone gave her a phone and pointed her in the direction of the FLDS, that's what we really want to know. If that's the case, we want to know who those someones are.

UPDATE: Apparently Mary Catharine Nelson has an interest in Westview Publishing. Follow the Link. Westview is her publisher, and apparently in more ways than one. My Last on Rozita?

My last try before Friday, that is. On June 6th Rozita Swinton appears in court in Colorado Springs on her phony phone call charges. I expect something will come out then, but Rozita is being protected. She inspires protective instincts, it's her modus operandi.

I and others have been on the Rozita trail for a while. In private exchanges in early April I speculated (not casually) that "Sarah", the persona Rozita used to dupe a willing Texas CPS was a fake. It set off all my alarms, the main one being "how convenient." I have rushed in before on convenient evidence that appeared plausible and got my rear handed to me quickly. Wise men sometimes become wise by rushing in, Fools rush in again and again. Wise men remember the butt kicking they got at the hand of their own hastiness, hesitate, and ask a few more questions.

Wise men also make strategic decisions. I have made a few. I'm not horn tooting when I say that I've been in touch with a few network reporters and a few major newspaper reporters. I made the calculated decision to willingly turn over all my research notes without condition. I have seen some of basic outlines turn up in other stories. The decision I made was based on the fact that these people have more resources than I do and the chances the story would get told would go up. Well, to some extent that turned out to be true, and to some extent that turned out not to be true. I am now bound by honor not to discuss who my contacts are and some people who now know answers aren't telling me. Oh well.

I have gone about my attempts to find Rozita's foster parent by more conventional means and found her but I don't have her name yet. I will eventually, but I had hoped to do so prior to this Friday. When I find her, I will have a decision to make, as to whether I out her or not. I can't really know if I'm going to do that until I talk to her at length. So far her conversations with me via email have yielded some results. One, I am finally satisfied that the small chance of her being another of Rozita's aliases is now essentially no chance. They are separate people. "Kate Rosemary" also continues to claim she may not discuss Rozita for two reasons that are not always given together. The protection of her existing foster children (which I suspect is a lie) and the protection of Rozita based on agreement with Rozita's attorney. Let me be clear again that "Kate" has no right to privacy regarding her identity since she has chosen to inject herself into the limelight by seeking to publicize two books in which she claims Rozita appears.

I have a decision to make when I find her identity and that will be whether I wish to expose her myself. I might not. I could find her reasons for ongoing privacy to be good ones in which case I will not mention her. I could find them to be inadequate, and then she's going to get a full outing. Name, picture, the works. Why you ask?

Someone posted Rozita's $20,000.00 bail that was named a friend. We don't know who that someone is. This speaks to Rozita's lack of resources. A person with lack of resources that gets "track" phones from all over the country. Hmmmmm. This speaks of a support network.

Rozita's support network is willing to commit illegal acts. One of her phones was purchased in the name of "Freddie Brinson" with a fake Social Security Number at a "Dollar Store" in Tennessee. My only viable lead for a real "Freddie Brinson" has denied to me in a phone conversation that she is the "Freddie" that bought the phone. I believe her so I dropped that lead.

I have been researching since late April or early May several "friends" of Rozita's foster parent, in an effort to contact that foster parent. That is how I came across "recycleddreams.org" and "Kate's" email addresses. Things blossomed out from there. I now have a list of about 5 or 6 real people with real names and email addresses or phone numbers that know "Kate" personally. Most of them are in the custody/foster care/child care industry in Nashville. Most of them are connected with Vanderbilt University. Those people are NOT public figures. I cannot in good conscience mention those names publicly. Authors I can mention. Registered Nurses? No. Psychologists? No.

So, if any of you are reading this blog in Nashville TN, and you have any connections at Vanderbilt University or Vanderbilt Children's hospital, I'd like to hear from you. We might be able to help each other out. The sooner we get to the bottom of the Rozita Swinton well, the better it will be for those who were wronged by her. Waiting until the entire court process has worked it's way out will be the worst way to handle it. It may be that when we reach bottom on the Rozita well, we will find, Rozita, nothing more. Confirmation Regarding "Kate" and Rozita

While I still think people cover for her in ways that may border on the criminal, I am now satisfied that "Kate Rosemary" and Rozita Swinton are not the same person. There's still a vague possibility based on information I have, but information others have, who I trust, and who have been thorough, says that "Kate" is a real person but not Rozita. The story has reached a point of critical mass though and I can tell you that my sources (the IP address of Kate's reply to me) place "Kate" in Nashville.

Anyone in Nashville that wants to help I'm open to speaking with. I intend at this point to name "Kate" when I find her. That is, unless she can persuade me that her true identity is not relevant. More →

Kate Rosemary moves to cover tracks.

The domain name "www.recycleddreams.org" is now listed at being owned by "Kate Rosemary" whereas before (and I have copied and saved it) the domain name as late as last month was under "Peggy Ann Way."

However, that new registration is of course false, since "Kate Rosemary" is an alias, not a real name. The change was made THURSDAY of last week. I can only figure this is due to exposing the web site ownership and trying to contact Dr. Way. Only one person I know of has been screaming this, your own Modern Pharisee.

It would seem, though I am a bit of an amateur at this, that the emails I got from "kate" came from Nashville. That would support the idea that "Kate" at least, is not Rozita, but only just a little bit. As far as I know, no one knows where Rozita is located, at present. More Swinton, More Silence

I fired off a letter this morning, very early, to one of Dr. Peggy Way's past associates. One that I have every reason to believe knows Dr. Way fairly well. In it I frankly outlined the connection between her and a website and Rozita Swinton's secretive apparent foster parent.

All I got back was "I'll forward this to Dr. Way." Previously I had been told that Dr. Way does not check her email often. Maybe not for the whole summer. Friends would know, I would not, I'll take their word for it.

Peggy Way who is (or was ) a rather popular "Social Gospel" and "Liberal" Theologian on the speaking circuit is approximately 77 years old. From what I can gather, she may be in a wheelchair and may have been for some time. Her appearance and speaking frequency dropped of dramatically a little over a year ago which suggests she is in poor health.

Slogging through the Rozita Swinton Swamp

When things are slow, you tear at the edges of unanswered questions. To bring you up to speed on what I have discovered so far.

Rozita Swinton has an apparent foster parent. I say this because no one in the press has met this person apart from her publisher, nor is there a picture of her. This person is now known as "Kate Rosemary" and has two books, "Raising Shane" and "After Disclosure", both of which were published in Nashville TN by the vanity publisher "Westview." Except "After Disclosure" was titled "The Feminization of Job" and was published first by Westview under that name, and was said to be authored by "Merry Cate Noel" who has a Masters of Divinity.

Conversations with the apparent foster parent via email yielded two email addresses, one at "Yahoo" and the other at "recycleddreams.org" which is a website that has existed since September of 2006 and was last modified about a year later suggesting that mostly what has happened is that the domain name registration was renewed. A "Peggy Ann Way" owns the site and seems to have a "Masters of Divinity" from Vanderbilt University, in Nashville Tennessee and formerly was an instructor there. She is also associated with Eden Theological Seminary. The site however, is registered to a known blind domain name provider, a "Michelle Parker" or at least Michelle is a representative for the company. Nevertheless the point is if you search for 510 595 2002 in google, you'll get the picture. Peggy also writes a "Blurb" for "Kate Rosemary" on the Westview website and has written her own book, "Created by God."

At this point, if I had to guess on a real foster parent, it would be Dr. Peggy Ann Way. Did Peggy write these books? I don't have any earthly idea. Things around Rozita are such a confusion of lie upon lie that all I know is that there is a Dr. Peggy Ann Way and it's probably the Peggy Ann Way on the domain name registration. That hardly proves that Dr. Way even made the registration or knows about it. It doesn't even prove that Rozita ever HAD a foster parent.

In searching for Peggy I have listened to an interview in which she says she is moving back Nashville but I have found no pictures of her. Most references to her seem to disappear about a year ago. I have found associates of hers, and emailed them to see if I can get information. She retired from Eden and said she was going to try to teach at Fisk in Nashville and a theological seminary in the area. She hates to write, and loves to speak. Anyone out there know Dr. Peggy A. Unfinished FLDS business

It's not over for the FLDS, it ought to be, but it's not. The exchange between Judge Andrew Napolitano and E. D. "Rip 'n Read" Tarbox Hill over at Fox News shows how much ignorance on the issue there still is.

Perhaps the Judge didn't get the word in edgewise while E. D. was popping her cork but he neglected to mention to Ms. Rip 'n' Read that there had been no documented harm of a sexual or violent nature to FLDS kids at YFZ. CPS had an imploding list of "underage pregnant/had been pregnant" girls that was being eroded from both ends. It seems evident now that my analysis of the reasons CPS went back to the ranch is fairly accurate, I had the view that it was mostly desperation on the part of CPS and that they were running low on potential victims so they went back to get more. They were trying to save their case.

Ms. Rip 'n' Read was still spewing the unsubstantiated and relying on the notion that real harm was occurring as a result of FLDS teachings. Our "Dirty Laundry" award winner seems to not realize that no matter how counter intuitive it may appear to her inflamed sensibilities, the acts she fears would result from such teachings, weren't happening. There are many still reading Ellen Goodman's stupid (no other good word for it folks) column and believing her abbreviated fact set and listening "Bleached Blond" tell us what she fears is going on, that in fact, is not going on at all. It will take a long time to clear up the public perception that those things the FLDS were alleged to have done, simply had not been done.

Something might still be discovered but I pray Texas now has good enough sense to let it just drop. Whatever they might discover wasn't what they had a warrant for and wasn't what they thought they saw upon entry into YFZ and they should just let it drop. That will be hard to do for people trying to hang on to their cash, their jobs and possibly their freedom.

There is also the matter of Rozita Swinton. Up until this point my ongoing search for the truth about her background and friends has led me to the doorstep of her apparent foster parent and there I've run into stonewalling and roadblocks.

Paula Underwood Winters, the publisher for that apparent foster parent's books wrote a fluff piece on Rozita that among other things said that Rozita went on a mission to El Salvador and said she was Mormon. Well, she wasn't a LDS missionary, that I have confirmed in my own research.

Chasing down the elusive "Kate Rosemary" aka "Merry Cate Noel" (now know to be Mary Catharine Nelson) has led me to the bay area of California. I have found her blurb writers out there, Martha Whitmore Hickman and Peggy Ann Way. I have phone numbers on Martha and Peggy. Peggy's answering machine is full. Martha doesn't return calls, but does return emails.

I've asked Merry Kate Rosemary Noel via email the point blank question; "Are you Rozita Swinton?" Her answer was to refer me to Rozita's lawyer David W. Foley of Colorado Springs and told me per agreement with him, she would not talk about Rozita. Mr. Foley would not return my calls. Remember, this is from a woman that already has tried to promote her two books using excerpts about Rozita shortly after Rozita was arrested. I'm hardly invading her privacy.

Why would a woman who is Rozita's foster parent have trouble answering if she was a seperate entity from Rozita? We know Rozita makes up fantastic stories some of which are repeated as fact by Paula Underwood Winters in the Westview. We know she has claimed many personalities. We know she pretends to be many different people. Is she her own apologist in the form the author of books that show her in a one dimensional warm fuzzy way? I've read the excerpts, they amount to "Rozita is just the nicest person, ever." Two books that say "Oh what a really really nice person Rozita is." They start getting published about the time that Rozita starts going on her calling spree.

Martha for her part was asked if she knew "Merry Kate Rosemary Noel" and she acknowledged that she did. She was also asked if MKRN was white and if she had met our apparent foster parent. She answered that MKRN was white. I repeated the question to her about having MET MKRN in person. She refused to answer.

This is a story. Maybe not a big one but it is a story. It should not slip between the cracks. Rozita is being treated with extreme deference. Apparently, she still has her job, but her employer says she's not around. Her apparent foster parent protects her. Her apparent foster parent's publisher writes gushy but false articles about her past, supplied with "facts" from whom? She has a support group that seems to be living in and around the bay area of San Francisco. Shortly after I published the story that Mary Kate Rosemary Noel was talking albeit sparingly, to me, I got an explosion of web hits from the same area the emails came from, all searching for "Rozita Swinton" and winding up with my blog as a result.

Rozita Swinton has done great damage. She is not a Tragic and Sympathetic figure. She has set in motion events on an ever larger scale throughout her recent life that have cost tens of millions of dollars and disrupted lives and could very well have caused loss of life.
