So you think Home Churches are the answer?

Maybe, but I've gotten the impression from some of my brothers in Christ that if they attack the building, you'll just go home and have "church" there. Think again.
KTVG San Diego - "Attorney Dean Broyles of The Western Center For Law & Policy was shocked with what happened to the pastor and his wife.

Broyles said, 'The county asked, "Do you have a regular meeting in your home?" She said, "Yes." "Do you say amen?" "Yes." "Do you pray?" "Yes." "Do you say praise the Lord?" "Yes." '

The county employee notified the couple that the small Bible study, with an average of 15 people attending, was in violation of County regulations, according to Broyles.

Broyles said a few days later the couple received a written warning that listed 'unlawful use of land' and told them to 'stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit' -- a process that could cost tens of thousands of dollars."
You're going to be herded back to your churches, and regulations imposed on your there. Religion is being Zoned. Hat tip to Right Mind.

Leads me to ask:

Should those of us who have frequent get-togethers with our religious friends in our homes be worried?

How about those of us who host pot-luck dinners and religious singings with groups of 20 or more?

And what about those of us who host book-club luncheons with our 15 religious friends, and open them and close them with prayers, and in the middle, we ask a blessing on the food?

And the multi-denominational quilting group that gathers at a neighbor's house to make blankets for the needy, and pray over their work so the recipients will be blessed and protected from the elements?

Toes, sounds like a bunch of right wing extremists to me...

All those Christians believe in and are waiting for the return of their God and King to set up a kingdom of peace... so in other words they are awaiting with anticipation the overthrow of the Unites States Government...

Yep... a bunch of Right-wing extremists, if I ever saw some. A veritable threat to national security... (under breath) lousy bakers, bookers and blanket makers
