I was once in a town so cold......

How cold was it? The thermometer at their house is "buried"
at the extreme low end. The more sophisticated thermometer at the National Wildlife Refuge "broke" at -78. If you can get past the NPR idiots making bad Sarah Palin jokes in the audio clip, you will discover that they don't really know how cold it is.

It's so cold they don't know how cold it is. It could be -81 or lower. They say it's -78 because they don't have the equipment to measure it any lower. They. Really. Don't. Know. Tok, Alaska.
